A 2026 Message from Brandywine Bible Church

As the calendar turns to a new year, many pause to reflect on the past and look ahead with

hope. While the world marks January as the beginning of the year, Scripture reminds us of a

deeper truth: Every true beginning belongs to God.

Calendars help us organize our days, but they do not define our purpose. The names of

months, the turning of dates, and the traditions of men are tools—not authorities. Time itself

was created by God, and He alone gives meaning to every season.

The Bible consistently teaches that renewal is not bound to a calendar, but is given by God

daily.

Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)

It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Each morning God gives is, by His mercy, a new beginning.

Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

A new year does not change us—God does. True beginnings are found in repentance,

obedience, and faithful walking with Him.

2 Corinthians 4:16 (KJV)

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is

renewed day by day.

Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV)

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a

way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

It is us, and we that are responsible to save this earth.

It is us! We have found the responsible way to save the earth, and only He gives us the

strength to do it!

Prayer

Father God, we come before You humbled and grateful. Thank You for loving us first andteaching us to rest in that love. Help us stay grounded as Your children, content in the limits of

our understanding and confident in the truth of who You are.

Father God, we thank You for the blood of Jesus, and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We

come before You now in Jesus’ name. Amen.
